Our Community
The Church of the Wicked Vag is an umbrella organization that includes members from all other religions, be it Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Pastafarianism or any of the other thousands of belief systems found globally.
Yes, you can belong to any other organization that you want to - it does not exclude you from being a proud member of The Church of the Wicked Vag. A proud Vagstafarian. And it's not just restricted to men. Any person of any gender may join our growing community.
Like Pastafarianism, Vagatarianism is a legitimate religion. Here is the checklist:
Religious Framework
1. Deity
We have our own deity - Flo.
2. Creation Story
We believe in an alternative version of the BIG BANG theory. See our Gospel of COW.
3. Moral Principles
- Do no harm.
- You may worship Flo at any time, any place, anywhere - as long as it is within the law.
- No member may enter into another member without consent.
- When at official events, you must pretend to be normal (not necessarily sober though).
- Focus on love - not hate.
- Treat the COW community with respect. Well, actually treat everyone with respect- unless they are the personification of a twat. Then screw them.
- Do not ever take the law into your own hands. If you have an issue - the COW community will help you resolve it.
- Women are the most important beings in the universe. Treat them accordingly.
Sacred Texts
Scriptures: If you feel the urge, you are encouraged to write texts that encapsulate the beliefs, teachings, and stories of your religion.
Prayers and Rituals: You are welcome to suggest prayers or chants that followers can use. There are some in the Gospel of COW (see Gospel button above).
Practices and Rituals
Official symbol of Vagstafarians is the peach. The alternative is the cranberry.
a. Dress code
Any item of clothing with the official Church of the Wicked Vag (COW) logo on it.
b. Worship
We have yet to determine how followers will worship (e.g., gatherings, ceremonies), but our first annual congregation will probably be in Pattaya, Thailand.
c. Rites of Passage
We will use our first COW Congregation to discuss and maybe create rituals for significant life events (birth, marriage, death).
Community Building
4. Establish a Community
Gathering Spaces: Decide where followers will meet (temples, community centers). Pattaya is most likely to be the favourite. We can take a vote.
Leadership Structure: Set up a hierarchy or leadership roles (priests, elders). I am a mere humble servant of Flo, but she has allowed me to have some decision-making powers as Main-servant-in-waiting.
5. Promote Your Religion
Outreach: Once I am happy with this website, I will be using social media, community events, and discussions to share our beliefs.
Education: We will also teach followers about our religion's tenets and practices.
6. Adapt and Evolve
Feedback: We are open to feedback from followers and adapt practices and beliefs as needed. : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. - Subject: Feedback
Cultural Integration: Our religion integrates with existing cultural norms and beliefs. Think of a Venn diagram.
7. Foster a Sense of Community
Support Systems: We will be encouraging followers to support each other through challenges.
Shared Experiences: We will organize events that strengthen bonds among followers.
Ethical Considerations
Respect for Others: Ensure that your religion does not harm or infringe on the beliefs of others.
Inclusivity: Aim to be welcoming and inclusive to diverse individuals.
